Lindsay Hainstock is a horticulturalist for the Okanagan Similkameen Co-op Growers Association in southern British Columbia. Lindsay grew up in the Manitoba prairies. “I was a wheat and canola kid,” she laughs. “Now I’m the poster child for eating fruit.”
The dry, semi-desert BC interior provides some of the best fruit-growing conditions in the world. With degrees in agronomy and horticulture, Lindsay offers field services to help orchardists plan and manage their crops. Growers focus on using ecologically friendly practices, including minimal pest control and water conservation. Their fresh delectable fruit is marketed through B.C. Tree Fruits Limited under the B.C. Brand – your guarantee of quality.
