BC Berry Grower
Born into the farming industry, Rhonda carries on the family tradition as president and owner of Driediger Farms Ltd., one of British Columbia’s largest wholesaler, retailer, producer and distributor of fresh and frozen berries internationally and throughout North America, growing 160-acres of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, red currants and haskap berries.
When she is not overseeing the farm and packing business, Rhonda volunteers countless hours addressing agriculture issues. She has served as a director of the B.C. Agricultural Council (BCAC) since 2007 with a mission to continually improve the social, economic and environmental sustainability of B.C. agriculture. In her current role as chair, Rhonda oversees the operation of the council’s advocacy work, serving as co-chair of council’s labour committee to strengthen relationships between farm owners and their workers. Rhonda is a proud supporter of the amazing array of locally produced BC agricultural products. “In my opinion, the people of BC are in an enviable position, with access to world class fruit, vegetables, meat, wine, dairy, cheese, plants and flowers, produced right in our great province.”
