Creamy Prosciutto Sauce

Creamy Prosciutto Sauce


45 mL (3 tbsp) Butter

1 chopped, finely chopped Shallots

60 mL (¼ cup) chopped Prosciutto

125 mL (½ cup) chopped, rehydrated, Sun-dried Tomatoes

250 mL (1 cup) shredded, Canadian Aged Cheddar Whipping Cream

250 mL (1 cup), 33% Sage

30 mL (2 tbsp) finely chopped Salt

To taste Cracked Black Pepper

To taste, fresh ground Penne or other Short Pasta

Cooking Instruction

  1. In a large frying pan, melt butter over medium heat and cook shallot and prosciutto until golden.
  2. Add tomatoes, cream and cheese.
  3. Continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Salt and pepper, to taste. Add sage.
  5. Serve hot over cooked pasta.
