Maple Pecan Citrus Yam Bake

Maple Pecan Citrus Yam Bake

  • 4 large washed yams
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tsp fresh orange zest
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp allspice


  1. Heat oven to 400F Bake yams, skin on, for approx 1 hour or until cooked and soft in centers
  2. Remove and throw away skins, mash flesh with butter, orange juice, and zest until smooth
  3. Place in medium casserole dish, using a spatula smooth the top.
  4. Mix maple syrup, pecans and allspice in a small dish until combined and pour over mashed yams.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 350F. Enjoy!
